Is it indoors or outdoors? What should I wear?
While most of the haunted houses are indoors, Bat City Scaregrounds is an outdoor entertainment complex. You will need to wear outdoor shoes and will be exposed to the weather, so dress warm or cool relative to the forecast! We highly discourage heeled shoes or any other type of footwear that makes it difficult to walk on ramps, damp grounds, etc.
Is there an age limit? How scary is it?
Because no refunds will be given, we recommend ages 12 and up. That said, fear is a relative emotion, and how scary our park will be greatly varies on the person. We do not card at the box office. We do our very best to deliver a thrilling, immersive experience, and well ... it is a horror theme park!
Can the actors touch me?
We always give our actors a "no touch" policy - you don't touch us, we don't touch you. In other words, our ghouls will never intentionally grab you. However, due to very dim lighting, you may occasionally come into accidental contact with one of our staff.
Can I take photos or videos?
We do not allow video or photography inside our attractions during operational hours unless special arrangements are set-up via the appropriate contacts beforehand. This includes cell phones. If we see you taking pictures or shooting videos with any device w/o proper notification, the device will be confiscated and given back when you leave - pictures deleted. We do, however, allow for cell phone pictures outside of the attactions while waiting in line.
What if I do not make it through all the attractions?
As long as you show up before our gates close, you will be able to make it through all three attractions. If there is an emergency and you cannot, please let the box office know, and we will take care of you!
